St Martin Pic Paradis The 2022 Series

Flowers Pic Paradis, St.Martin 2022

In the early Eighties, I started going to St.Martin every winter and the Caribbean rain storm paintings were a direct result of those visits.

Now at my age I cannot paint on the floor anymore, but I continue to spend up to 3 months now on the island in a remote house way up on Pic Paradis on the French side with 4000 sq. meters of tropical garden planted over 30 years ago.

It is this magical place that has inspired this last very productive series of flowers and gardens I want to share with you.

Into the Garden

On Sale since June 2019

For the past three decades, artist Christian Peltenburg-Brechneff has often traded his traditional artist studio for the expansive possibilities of a global odyssey. Immersing himself in terrains both near and far—from Lunuganga in tropical Sri Lanka to the Aegean Island of Sifnos—he has had the privilege of painting in some of the most exquisite and heretofore unrecorded gardens of worldclass tastemakers and the international elite.
